*21 Days Daniels Progressive Prayer Fast

Theme: The Well and Wealth of Wisdom

August, 2014

Wisdom demands
education as in the case of Moses and Daniel

“And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of
the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.”(Act 7:22)

Beloved,

Praise
God from whom all blessings flow. His name be praised and uplifted in our
lives. Amen! You are blessed and highly favored in Jesus name!

You
are invited to join us in our annual Daniel Progressive Prayer Fast. See the
details as follows:

Wisdom to
unravel mysteries

It is time to examine
the purpose of our talents, abilities, education, academic training,
professional and occupational endeavors. Many people are struggling with their
aspiration, carrier and employment endeavors. They are not certain what the
future holds for them. Some people think they will be better off when they
travel to an unknown place to start life or secure a job that will enable them
to make ends meet. Some people have refused to build up the foundation for
basic learning and character development, because they are leaning on human
promises that have no insurance or assurance. The first chapter of the book of
Daniel will enable us to trust the Lord for the well and wealth of wisdom. The
second chapter will enable us to realize the importance of acquiring wisdom and
how to utilize it in appropriate season and at the right time.

The
Fast
:

The Lord has given us 2014 as the year
of Progressive Deliverance and New Completion. Hence, we have been receiving
different types of tactics at each level of warfare against the enemy of our
soul. In order to enjoy our deliverance on legal grounds, we need to pay attention
to the various tactics that are needed to conquer the battle at hand.

This time around, we are breaking off
from the traditional type of fasting. We are going to be doing the night fast.
The night fast will enable us to enter into the realms of His presence at the
hour when all activities are supposed to be still. We need that environmental
silence to achieve this unique purpose. The night fast provides us with a
platform for effective warfare against the kingdom of darkness.

It is an hour of spoiling the works of
darkness by dismantling the camp of satanic strongmen from the spiritual realm to
the natural environment.

Segment One:

Day One: The Quest for Wisdom:

No matter how financially buoyant a
young person may be, his or her wealth can never count the grey hair of
experience on a parent’s head. Wisdom causes you to learn humility and give
respect to the rich and the poor, the learned and the illiterate, the great and
the small and the humans in general. No matter the state of a brother or
sister, it is important to understand the fact that challenges and difficulties
have no respect for anyone. Therefore, it is unwise to despise or disrespect people
because they have not been able to achieve what you have gotten. Money has
wings, so it can fly away any day if not well preserved and maintained against
the unknown. Therefore, it is time to seek wisdom. Proverbs 16:16-18 says,

Proverbs 16:16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! And to
get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Proverbs 16:17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that
keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

Proverbs
16:18
Pride goeth before
destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Prayer Points:

·
Pray
that you will not despise the people or individuals who were once used to raise
or support you in times of challenges and difficulties.

·
Pray
blessings for your relationship with people who once stood up as parent or
guardian in your life, and ask for peace irrespective of the challenges that
has severed your relationship.

Day Two: The Voice of Wisdom:

Whenever
I look around the various environments to which I am connected, I see the need
for wisdom.

·
I
hear the sound of wisdom calling people’s attention to poor decision making and
bad judgment.

·
I
see wisdom instructing and directing the path of obedient hearts.

·
I
hear wisdom correcting and pruning the pride hearted ones.

·
I
see wisdom stroking the stubborn hearted ones.

·
I
feel wisdom restraining the ignorant from perishing.

·
I
feel wisdom cautioning and warning you against impending evil.

Proverbs 2:10-13  When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and
knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee,
understanding shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the evil man,
from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths of uprightness,
to walk in the ways of darkness;

1Kings
4:29 -34 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and
largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. And
Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country,
and all the wisdom of Egypt…  And there
came of all people to hear the Wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth,
which had heard of his wisdom.

Prayer Points:

·
Pray
that you shall hear the voice of wisdom whenever the word of the Lord rises up
from deep within to correct your ways.

·
Pray
that you shall understand the stroking and pruning of the Holy Spirit that
comes through the voice of wisdom.

·
Pray
that you shall continuously be connected to the voice of wisdom for divine
instruction and direction.

Day Three: The Preciousness of Wisdom:

Wisdom
is one of the most important virtues that we need in every facets of our lives’
endeavor. The Almighty One is referred to as the God of Wisdom. Scripture
admonishes us to seek wisdom. Proverbs 4:5-8 states:

Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the
words of my mouth.

Proverbs 4:6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve
thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore
get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs 4:8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee:
she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

Prayer Points:

·
Pray
that wisdom shall be the principal thing you your life.

·
Pray
that you shall desire wisdom and keep up with it consciously and unconsciously
to preserve it in your environment.

·
Pray
that you shall understand the language of wisdom in every facet of your life
and endeavor.

·
Pray
for respect and honor for wisdom in your reasoning and actions so that wisdom
shall be precious to you.

Segment Two:

Day Four: The Wealth of Wisdom:

When Solomon was crowned king of Israel,
he was generous in giving sacrificial offerings to God. Following an offering
of a thousand burnt offerings the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream and asked
what he needed. Solomon then requested for wisdom to judge the people of God.
The Lord responded with blessings of abundance of wealth beyond that which
Solomon had requested.

2 Chronicles 1:7-13,

2Ch 1:7  In
that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall
give thee.

2Ch 1:8  And
Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and
hast made me to reign in his stead.

2Ch 1:9  Now,
O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast
made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

2Ch 1:10  Give
me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people:
for who can judge this thy people, that
is so
great?

2Ch 1:11  And
God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked
riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast
asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou
mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

2Ch 1:12
Wisdom and knowledge is
granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as
none of the kings have had that have
been
before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

2Ch 1:13  Then
Solomon came from his journey
to the high place that was at
Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and
reigned over Israel.

Prayer Points:

·
Pray
that your utterances and sacrificial offering shall be the kind that attracts
the presence of the Most High God.

·
Pray
that your utterances and relationship shall be well managed to bring forth
honor and respect to your environment.

·
Pray
that your heart shall always be pure enough to attract favor of blessings.

Day Five: What is wisdom?

Wisdom is the ability to apply
experience and knowledge and understanding to judgment. It is the quality of
being able to examine a situation with the application of learning from
experience and also using the principles of reality to adjudicate a matter. Wisdom
is the act of using knowledge and experience together in the light of understanding
to make effective decision. Without wisdom, we make foolish mistakes and fall
into the enemies trap unworthily.

Exodus_28:3  And thou shalt speak unto all that are
wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make
Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the
priest’s office.

Prayer Points:

·
Pray
that every challenge and difficulties that you ever experience shall become a
well of wisdom for the future.

·
Pray
that you shall not take your experiences for granted, but shall add them to
your library storage.

·
Pray
that you shall not make any decision without seeking the power of knowledge,
experience and understanding.

Day Six: Seeking Wisdom:

Wisdom is a blessing that we all need no
matter what you have already achieved today, remember tomorrow is unknown. Once
upon a time, we had abundance of money but did not have wisdom to preserve it
for the future. And then once upon a time, money was nowhere to be found. Where
did it go? Who stole if from us? Hmmm! Lack of wisdom was the only thief that
penetrated our coffers at the time when common sense was ignored. Ahaaahh…! Is
that what happened to me? Yeah! Money can cause people to lose sight of the importance
of respect for advice.  So we don’t
usually see the pitfall around the corner until we stumble into the pothole,
and soon after, the shock absorber goes off. That is the reason for calling
upon you to join us in this Daniel Progressive Prayer fast.

Deuteronomy_4:6 Keep therefore
and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in
the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, surely
this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

Deuteronomy_34:9 And Joshua the
son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon
him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD
commanded Moses.

Segment Three:

Understand the Importance of Wisdom

Day Seven: Nebuchadnezzar’s Wisdom

Scripture: Daniel 1: 1-5

Scripture declares that the children of
this world are wiser than the children of the kingdom. Part of the reason being
that, the wicked man would study his environmental activities to deceitfully
steal from the people; he would device cunning means to win the heart of the
environments, while he continues to pretend to be nice, without giving room to
suspicion. Yeah, Nebuchadnezzar explored the people of Israel to cart away the
genius and excellent youths that were prepared for the future of Israel. He
took them into his kingdom and further prepared them to become his special
leaders.

Dan 1:1
In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar
king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.

Dan 1:2  And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah
into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried
into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels
into the treasure house of his god.

Dan 1:3  And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master
of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel,
and of the king’s seed, and of the princes;

Dan 1:4  Children
in whom was no blemish, but
well favored, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and
understanding science, and such as had
ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the
learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

Dan 1:5  And the king appointed them a daily provision
of the king’s meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three
years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.

Prayer Point:

·
We
need the kind of wisdom that seeks men and women who are prepared to lead our
generation into the future.

·
May
the Lord grant us the kind of wisdom that seeks the best out of our
environments and ourselves

·
That
we will be people without blemish, well favored and skillful in all wisdom

Day Eight: The Wisdom of Name Change

Scripture: Daniel 1: 6-7

Sometimes, we
need a name change to achieve a purpose in our lives. The Lord often changes
the names of the people he called unto himself. Abraham and Sarah experienced a
divine encounter with their name change.

Nebuchadnezzar
imbibed the wisdom of name change for the Hebrew children in order to claim
their heritage and adopt their unique abilities in the Babylonian system.

Isaiah 62 speaks
about name change for better. Name identifies your destiny. It reveals who you
are. It tells what your parents think expect of you. It propels you into your
destiny.

Nebuchadnezzar
named the Hebrew children after the Babylonian gods in order to empower them to
do exploit in his kingdom. But Daniel and his friends maintain the identity of
Jehovah God in their character and behavior instead of adopting the character
of demonic gods.

Dan 1:6 Now
among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and
Azariah:

Dan 1:7 Unto
whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name
of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and
to Azariah, of Abednego.

Prayer Points:

·
Pray
for your name to become a symbol of wealth and restoration.

·
Let
your identity be a symbol of respect and honor before kings and princes (people
in authority)

·
May
your name command respect and honor before God and humankind.

·
May
your name speak wisdom and power and solution where you go.

Day 9: Food of Contamination

Scripture: Daniel 1:8-12

Many restaurants
perform certain spiritual ritual to attract customers to Dinner. Similarly,
many cultures have some kind of traditional rituals that are performed over
cooking and eating certain delicacies. Idol worshippers like most Eastern
religious have some common rituals of placing the first portions of meal cooked
before their altars. Whenever you visit Chinese and Indian stores or
restaurants, it is easy to differentiate between, a catholic Christians and an
idol worshipper. Most Asians like Indians and Chinese would usually place the
symbol of their faith at the entrance of their business. The Catholic Christian
may either have the cross and a symbol of Mary while the idol worshippers will
have the idols with either coins or a representative of the business on it. In
the case of a restaurant a plate of food is placed in front of these mundane gods
who have no ears to hear or mouth to speak. Funny enough, these idols are sold
in stores all over New York, yet people purchase them with money to serve them
as gods.

Daniel and his
friends were supposed to be fed with food sacrificed to idols so that they
would lose their identity as the Babylonian gods were supposed to take over reasoning
and knowledge. Usually, before an animal is slaughtered, certain rituals are
performed with its life. An incantation is recited according to the purpose of
the season. Sometimes the blood of the animal and some parts of its meat is
used to pronounce a curse or make an invocation as part of a sacrifice to the
gods. Therefore, eating meat from animals sacrificed to demonic gods can be
dangerous as it could be a measure of transference of evil spirits or
invocation of curses.

In view of such
practices, Daniel and his friends refused to eat meats sacrificed to idols,
which are usually referred to as the king’s delicacies. They would rather live
on vegetables that were fresh from the farm than partake in demonic activities.

Dan 1:8 But
Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion
of the king’s meat, or with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of
the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Dan 1:9 Now God
had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

Dan 1:10  And the prince of the eunuchs said unto
Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink:
for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are
of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.

Dan 1:11 Then
said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel,
Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,

Dan 1:12 Prove
thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and
water to drink.

Prayer Point:

·
We
need wisdom to understand the realm of secret rituals performed by those who
place idols in front of their businesses.

·
We
need wisdom to deal with food sacrificed to idols and demonic worship in public
consumption of ritualistic meals.

·
That
we will not partake in any kind of meal that will contaminate our spiritual
relationship nor compromise our faith with activities that robs us of our
spiritual foresight.

Segment Four:

Day Ten: Effect of the King’s Delicacies

Scripture: Daniel 1:13-16

Trust in the
Lord and hold on to the faith in the word of God.

The Hebrew children
held on to their belief in Jehovah God and refused to compromise their faith. They
risked their life to obtain the favor of the Most High God before humankind.
They were not afraid of the danger of pitching their belief system against
eating meat sacrificed to idols. They would rather fear the great God of
wonders rather compromise their faith with the kingdom of darkness. Wow! What
an exhibition of the well of wisdom!

Hence, the
countenances of the righteous ones were unique and attractive compared to that
of those who ate the king’s delicacy. Indeed Jehovah God glorified himself in
faithfulness and honesty.

Dan 1:13 Then
let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the
children that eat of the portion of the king’s meat: and as thou seest, deal
with thy servants.

Dan 1:14  So he consented to them in this matter, and
proved them ten days.

Dan 1:15 And at
the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than
all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.

Dan 1:16 Thus
Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should
drink; and gave them pulse.

Prayer Point:

·
Pray
against the spirit that threatens your faith and trust in Jehovah God.

·
Pray
for the kind of wisdom that will open your spiritual foresight beyond the natural.

·
Pray
that the spirit of the living God shall guide and uphold you so that you will
not indulge in ungodly compromise no matter the situation.

·
Pray
that you shall not desire the taste of ungodly delicacy that would cause you to
forsake the King of Glory.

·
Pray
that you shall not lust after certain kinds of meals offered to idols so that
you will not suffer the curse of destruction.

Day Eleven: The Power of Purity

Scripture: Daniel 1:17-21

The fear of God
is the beginning of wisdom. Whenever we exhibit the fear of God above
ungodliness, the Lord will always show forth his glory to justify our faith in
Him. God will never leave nor forsake those who trust in Him, no matter what
the situation may be.

The Lord
glorified himself in the faith exhibited by the young Hebrew boys. God
miraculously endowed them with unique abilities far better than what the
Babylonian gods would have performed.

Dan 1:17 As for
these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and
wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Dan 1:18  Now at the end of the days that the king had
said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in
before Nebuchadnezzar.

Dan 1:19  And the king communed with them; and among
them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore
stood they before the king.

Dan 1:20  And in all matters of wisdom and
understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better
than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his
realm.

Dan 1:21  And Daniel continued even unto the
first year of king Cyrus.

Prayer Point:

·
Pray
that the Lord shall give you knowledge, skill and wisdom in all learning.

·
Pray
that your eyes shall be opened and empowered to understand visions and dreams
in Jesus’ name.

·
Pray
that you shall be ten times better than all others in matters of wisdom and
understanding without compromising your relationship with Jehovah God.

Day Twelve: The Purpose of the King’s Delicacy

Scripture: Daniel 2:1-6

One of the major purposes for feeding
certain people with the king’s special delicacies was to initiate them with the
spiritual powers from the Babylonian gods. The king’s delicacy was meant to
induce the Babylonians to become some form of gods possessed by the spirit of
the gods of the land in order to see, understand and interpret omen and
mysteries that are beyond human comprehension.

At the end of the training, the people
were given names that identified them as one of the gods that the king and his
officials served. Having been fed with the king’s delicacy and the also given
names that represented the Babylonian gods, Nebuchadnezzar was disappointed
that the wise men did not foresaw his mysterious dream, hence, they have no
idea what interpretation to give to his dream. Hence, he declared a war to
eliminate failure from his palace and kingdom.

Dan 2:1
And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams,
wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him
. …

Dan 2:2 Then the
king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers,
and the sorcerers
, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams.
So they came and stood before the king.

Dan 2:3 And the
king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know
the dream. …

Dan 2:4 Then
spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live forever: tell
thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation
.

Dan 2:5 The king
answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye
will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye
shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill
.

Dan 2:6 But if
ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and
rewards and great honour
: therefore shew me the dream, and the
interpretation thereof.

Prayer
Points
:

·
Pray
that the purpose of receiving training shall be accomplished as a kind of
acquiring wisdom to excel and progress in life.

·
Pray
that you shall not be a failure or disappointment at the end of an academic or
educational training program in Jesus name.

·
Pray
that your family will not be destroyed because you could not fulfill a need in
your occupation or professional endeavor.

·
Pray
that your unique abilities and performances shall attract reward and great
honor in Jesus name.

Segment Five:

Day Thirteen: Lack of Divine Wisdom:

Scripture: Daniel 2: 7-11

Although this category of people had
been fed with the king’s delicacy and trained in the Babylonian knowledge and
named after the gods in order to be identified as wise men, they did not have
any kind of relationship with the Almighty God the creator of heaven and earth.
They were man-made gods – magicians, astrologers and Chaldeans. These man-made
wise men even testified that “…there is none other that can shew it before
the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh” (Daniel 2:11).

Dan 2:7 They
answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will
shew the interpretation of it.

Dan 2:8 The king
answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the
thing is gone from me
.

Dan 2:9
But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree
for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till
the time be changed
: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that
ye can shew me the interpretation thereof.

Dan 2:10 The
Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth
that can shew the king’s matter
: therefore there is no king, lord,
nor ruler, that asked such
things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean
.

Dan 2:11 And it
is
a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew
it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh
.

Prayer
Point
:

·
Pray
against unrealistic expectations from leaders who assume the position of a god
that makes foolish demands.

·
Pray
against the spirit of the ungodliness that gives wrong counsel by lying,
speaking corrupt words, playing delay tactics to deny truth (Psalm 1).

·
Pray
for wisdom to recognize the place of the Almighty God and his works in the
affairs of human leadership and operations of kingdoms.

·
Pray
that you will never think your abilities and position surpasses that of the
Great God of wonders who made heaven and earth.

Day Fourteen: Manifestation of Wisdom

Scripture: Daniels 2: 12-18

Sometimes we are surrounded by the
ungodly that are sinners, conspirators and mockers who pretend to be good or
genuine, but are evil in their thoughts toward us. As soon as the king issued a
decree to slain the wise men in the kingdom, the righteous became the immediate
target for destruction.

This episode gave Daniel the opportunity
to utilize the gift and spirit of wisdom in every facet of his endeavor.
Although the king was angry and furious, Daniel was able to speak the kind of
language that pacified the king to hold on the order to kill the wise men who
had failed him.

By the application of wisdom,

·
Daniel
was able to encourage his friends to join him to seek the Almighty God for the
mystery that the King had demanded.

·
Daniel
was able to speak to the King’s messengers to stop killing the wise men.

It is only the Lord who makes the
impossible to become possible.

Dan 2:12 For
this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to
destroy all the wise men of
Babylon
.

Dan 2:13 And the
decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought
Daniel and his fellows to be slain.

Dan 2:14 Then
Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king’s
guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:

Dan 2:15 He
answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, Why is the decree so
hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.

Dan 2:16 Then
Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that
he would shew the king the interpretation.

Dan 2:17 Then
Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and
Azariah, his companions:

Dan 2:18 That
they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that
Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men
of Babylon.

Prayer
Points
:

·
Pray
against the spirit of foolishness that exhibits envy, jealousy, strife and
hatred against the righteous ones.

·
Pray
that the leaders in your environment shall not make foolish decisions whenever
they are angry or unsatisfied with the performances of their subordinates.

·
Pray
that you shall not be a kind of Nebuchadnezzar in your actions and language
whenever you are opportune to exercise authority in any area of life endeavor.

·
Pray
that the Lord shall grant you wisdom with confidence and boldness to intervene
in any matter that affects your environment

Day Fifteen: Daniels Appreciates the Works of
Jehovah God

Scripture: Daniel 2:19-23

The ability to know by
the power of revelation is not a thing of pride, but an attraction for worship
and adoration.

The Lord reveals the
secret things that sounds impossible and beyond human comprehension with the
intention to redeem us from evil. Revelation is a type of wisdom that brings
forth a knowledge that is either hidden or open to a limited number of people.
Daniel counted it a privilege to know the secret things in the mind and heart
of the king. So he resorted to adore the Great God of wonders for answering his
request. Daniel’s response is a demonstration of godly wisdom. To identify the
attributes of the Almighty God in worship is an exhibition of worship. The Lord
deserves our praise and adoration.

Dan 2:19 Then was the secret revealed
unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

Dan 2:20 Daniel answered and said,
Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:

Dan 2:21 And he changeth the times and the
seasons
: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise,
and knowledge
to them that know understanding
:

Dan 2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret
things
: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light
dwelleth with him.

Dan 2:23 I thank thee, and praise thee,
O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast

Segment Six: Utilization of Wisdom

Day Sixteen: Daniel Rescues the Perishing

Scripture:
Daniels 2:24-25

Wherever there is
wisdom, there is salvation, deliverance and restoration of life. Wisdom
provides us with the antidote to rescue the perishing and care for the dying.

By the application of
wisdom, Daniel was able to persuade Arioch to stop the destruction of the wise
men which could have included his friends and himself. Saving other people’s
lives is as important as preserving your own destiny. Daniel and his friends
could have been the major target of destruction in this matter. No matter what
the case may have been Daniel used his wisdom to save human souls from
perishing.

It is wisdom for us to
device means to rescue the perishing and care for dying. Jesus died on the
cross for the salvation of our soul and redemption of our lives. We need wisdom
to utilize wisdom in our daily endeavor. We need common sense to embrace wisdom
as a virtue that cannot be ignored. We need to desperately desire wisdom above
all other things in this life. Therefore, let us learn to seek wisdom and also
get understanding.

Proverbs_4:5 Get wisdom, get
understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my
mouth.

Proverbs
_4:7

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all
thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs
_16:16

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding
rather to be chosen than silver!

Proverbs
_17:16

Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he
hath
no heart to it?

Dan 2:24
Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the
wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the
wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto
the king the interpretation.

Dan 2:25 Then
Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I
have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king
the interpretation.

Day Seventeen: God Revealed the King’s Dream to
Daniel
:

Scripture: Daniel 26-30

With God all things are possible. Nebuchadnezzar
was aware of the fact that there were things that demands a special connection
with the realms of the spirit. He was aware of the fact that there will always
be a need for spiritual intervention in matters that concern his decision
making and the continuous existence of his throne. Therefore, he ensured that
both spiritual and physical training were necessary qualification required for
the appointment of his palace counselors usually referred to as wise men.

The meaning of
the name Daniel means “God is my Judge”.

Daniel’s
Babylonian name Belteshazzar means the Prince of Bel – the keeper of secrets (
www.2000-names.com). Belteshazzar
is believed to be one of the gods of Nebuchadnezzar.

On both sides of
the coin, the names of this young prophet are connected to the realm of the
spirit. However, Daniel decided to stay on the positive side where Jehovah God
would be glorified as the King of kings and Lord of lords over all creation.
Wisdom tells him that whatever was required of him (Daniel) must be approved of
the Almighty God. Therefore, the meaning of his name (God is my judge) must
influenced his environment as well as his personal behavior and lifestyle.

When it was time
for Nebuchadnezzar to make demands on the wise men that had been trained to
assist him in spiritual matters, based on their spiritual qualifications and
names, there was none to attest to the wisdom of his Babylonian gods. Only
Yahweh, the Great God of Daniel was THE only living God who was omnipresent,
omnipotent and omniscient to manifest His power and glory.

In view of his
wisdom, Daniel was confident and bold to stand before the notorious King
Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel applied wisdom to his language whenever he stood before
the king. He carefully observed all protocols that granted him favor; the king
respected and honored the spirit of wisdom in him (Daniel). Daniel did not
pride himself but remained humble and God-fearing in every aspect of his
endeavors.

Dan 2:26  The king answered and said to Daniel, whose
name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the
dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof
?

Dan 2:27  Daniel answered in the presence of the king,
and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians,
the soothsayers, shew unto the king
;

Dan 2:28 But there
is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets
, and maketh known to the king
Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of
thy head upon thy bed, are these;

Dan 2:29 As for
thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy
mind
upon thy bed
, what should come to pass hereafter: and he
that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass
.

Dan 2:30  But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me
for any wisdom
that I
have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the
interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy
heart.

Moses: Remember Moses
in the presence of Pharaoh the king of Egypt with the context against the
magicians – Exodus 8&9

Exo_8:19 Then the
magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s
heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.

Exo_9:11 And the
magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was
upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

Moses: Remember Elijah’s challenge against
Jezebel and the worship of Baal in Israel. I Kings 18:1-46

1Ki 18:24 And call
ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the
God that answereth by fire, let him be God
. And all the people answered
and said, It is well spoken. …

1Ki 18:25  And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal,
Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are
many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.

1Ki 18:26  And they took the bullock which was given
them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning
even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon
the altar which was made
.

1Ki 18:27  And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah
mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is
a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must
be awaked
.

1Ki 18:28  And they cried aloud, and cut themselves
after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon
them.

1Ki 18:29  And it came to pass, when midday was past,
and they
prophesied until the time of
the offering of the evening
sacrifice, that there was
neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded
. …

1Ki 18:36  And it came to pass at the time of the
offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near,
and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day
that thou art God in Israel,
and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at
thy word.

1Ki 18:37  Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people
may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned
their heart back again.

1Ki 18:38  Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed
the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up
the water that was in the
trench
.

1Ki 18:39  And when all the people saw it, they
fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is
the God
.

Day Eighteen: Daniel Relays the Dream to the King:

Scripture: Daniel 2: 31-36

One of the
greatest aspects of ministry that I have enjoyed is the ability to relay dreams
with interpretations. Just like Nebuchadnezzar, some people either forget their
dreams or do not pay attention to their dreams. Although all dreams may not be
a revelation, sometimes, the Lord speaks to us through dreams. Some people did
not know the importance of prayer or serving the Lord until they had some
terrible dreams that frightened them. Such people had no choice but to run to
God for refuge since they have become afraid of the night.

Nebuchadnezzar
did not fear the Almighty God, so he committed so many atrocities against the
Jewish people and the great Solomon Temple in Jerusalem. He destroyed the
temple and took away all the golden vessels meant for divine worship. He took
away the intellectuals and the upcoming youths who were being prepared to
occupy the place of authority in nation building and development.

For all the
years of his wickedness, Nebuchadnezzar’s ungodliness was coming to an end at
the time that he had desired in his heart to become a golden image that would
be worship by the whole world – the nations within and beyond the Babylonian
empire. So his dream actually portrayed his aspirations and expectations to become
a god.

Of course the
Lord revealed and exposed the intention that have long been desired and
cherished to soon become a reality. Demanding for interpretation of the dream
is another means of exhibiting his desires to become an idolized god whose
utterance must be feared and obeyed instantly. But, the Almighty God would
expose his thoughts by revealing the source of the dream to Daniel who stated
thus:

Dan 2:31  Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great
image
. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood
before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.

Dan 2:32  This image’s head was of fine gold,
his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,

Dan 2:33  His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and
part of clay.

Dan 2:34  Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out
without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces
.

Dan 2:35  Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the
silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of
the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was
found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled
the whole earth
.

Dan 2:36  This is
the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king
.

Prayer Point:

·
Pray
that your spiritual foresight shall be opened to see beyond the ordinary in
Jesus name.

·
Pray
that your dreams be vivid with specific relationship to your aspirations that
relate to your destiny.

·
Pray
against ungodly dreams that frustrate and suppresses your destiny.

Segment Seven:

Day Nineteen: The Wisdom and Power of Interpretation

Scripture: Daniels 2: 37-43

It is one thing
to have a dream, it’s another thing to understand and interpret the dream. The
ability to understand and interpret a dream is a demonstration of wisdom beyond
the ordinary. Although the Lord reveals to redeem, the manner in which we
handle our dreams and revelations usually affects the real meaning. We may have
a great and resourceful dream that gives us insight into the Lord’s plan and
purpose for our lives, yet, we do need to seek the true meaning for
application. Otherwise, lack of understanding there will not give room for
application of wisdom and utilization of its benefit. A dream can be very
resourceful when we understand the purpose of it. The Lord gives us a dream or
some form of revelation as a window of direction into our future and destiny.
Therefore, we need to seek meaning to our dreams as Nebuchadnezzar sort
understanding to his dreams.

Desire wisdom
and ask it of the Lord, so that the unique endowments upon your life will be of
great benefit to your daily endeavors and the people around you. There are
people who need your talents and abilities. Until you start using them, they
will not grow. Your gift is like a seed that grows when it is utilized. Do not
allow the challenges of trials and temptations to hamper you from exploring the
positive side of life. Challenge yourself to stand up strong among your peers.
Encourage yourself to rise and shine like the morning star. Environmental
threats did not subdue Daniel and his friends from doing right. Part of the
reason for this fast is for you to desire and pray for wisdom to excel in your
life and fulfill your destiny.

Dan 2:37 Thou, O
king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom,
power, and strength, and glory
.

Dan 2:38 And
wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of
the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou
art this head of gold
.

Dan 2:39 And
after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee,
and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

Dan 2:40 And the
fourth
kingdom shall be strong as iron
: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and
subdueth all things
:
and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.

Dan 2:41  And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes,
part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but
there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch
as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

Dan 2:42  And as the toes of the feet were
part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and
partly broken
.

Dan 2:43  And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry
clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they
shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay
.

Prayer Points:

·
Pray
that you shall not exalt yourself above the glory, the power and the strength
with which you were created in the image of God, but that you shall humble
yourself to reverence your Maker in Jesus’ name.

·
Pray
that you shall understand and interpret revelations that guide you into the
future for destiny fulfillment in Jesus’ name.

·
Pray
that the Lord shall give you dreams with direction and instruction to guide
your decisions in Jesus’ name.

Day Twenty: The Kingdom that shall never be Destroy

Scripture: Daniel 2:44-45

The
Lord will always make known his plan and purpose to those who honor and
reverence Him as the King of glory and the Lord of lords. It is imperative for
us to know and understand the attributes of Jehovah God our Maker. He alone
deserves the glory, honor, praise and adoration. Whenever we place him in the
place of importance in our lives, He will smell the aroma of our sincerity and
honor our request. Then what seems impossible will become possible.  Matthew_19:26
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible;
but with God all things are possible.”

Dan 2:44 And in the days of these kings
shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed:
and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in
pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Dan 2:45
Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain
without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the
silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king
what shall come to pass hereafter
: and the dream is certain, and
the interpretation thereof sure.

Prayer Points:

·
Let
the God of heaven sets up his kingdom in our lives in Jesus’ name.

·
Pray
that the Lord shall find us worthy to put us in charge of His affairs on earth
as it is in heaven in Jesus name.

·
Pray
that the Lord shall not hide the secret of his kingdom works from us, but shall
always make the plans known to indulge us in Jesus name.

·
Let
the great God of wonders make known to us, what shall come to pass in Jesus’
name.

Day Twenty-one: Wisdom Foster’s Promotion

Scripture:
Daniels 2:46-49

Indeed, wisdom
is a virtue that attracts honor, grace, respect and promotion. In view of the
fact that Daniel maintained a culture of consistency irrespective of all manner
of challenges and dangers that he encountered in his new exilic home in
Babylon, Yahweh, The Great God of Wonders never leave nor forsook him. Daniel
made intercessory prayer unto the Lord until the terrorizing King
Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon almost came face to face with the reality of the
Almighty God. However, Nebuchadnezzar was compelled to encounter the power of
the God of Daniel, until he bowed his knee and prostrated himself in worship.
He even commanded the people of his kingdom to do the same with oblation –
sacrificial offering to Daniel. Wow! What a demonstration of the power of
wisdom…!

Indeed, the
impact and power of wisdom can never be overemphasized. Knowledge is power, and
Wisdom is authority that commands the world to bow and submit to truth.

Of course,
Daniel’s wisdom attracted promotion into the corridor of powers, where he sat
at the king’s gate to make decisions and judge the Babylonian empire. The
endowment of divine wisdom became the major prowess that he needed to
adjudicate the matters that affected both the king and the nations affiliated
to the Babylonian kingdom.

Beloved, let us
seek wisdom with all its integrity that all knee shall bow and every tongue
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord in heaven and on earth.

Isaiah_45:23 I have sworn by
myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not
return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Romans_14:11 For it is
written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and
every tongue shall confess to God.

Phillipians_2:10-11 That at the
name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things
in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.

Dan 2:46  Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his
face, and worshipped Daniel
, and commanded that they should offer an
oblation and sweet odours unto him.

Dan 2:47  The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a
truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of
kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

Dan 2:48 Then
the king made Daniel a great man
, and gave him many great gifts, and
made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors
over all the wise men of
Babylon
.

Dan 2:49 Then Daniel
requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the
affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.
