Subject: Power of Sacrifice on the Altar

The experience that was felt during the first day was one that had to be experienced in person. Sis Grace Tackie (Youth Music Leader) writes about her first day of Divine Encounter 2014:

From the time I walked through the door I could sense the presence of God in the place. The prayer was fiery and the worship was amazing. The Holy Spirit ministered to us while the song shekinah glory was sang. Deep in worship, I was overwhelmed with joy as the Spirit of God flowed. This evenings message was given by Rev. Eli Nutifafa and he spoke about the importance of altar sacrifice. Taken from Psalms 24: 3,4 we learned that a man can build a house but without wisdom he can’t fill the house. When we learn how to give God n sow seeds we will reap the blessings of God. We can be quick to say we need money to pay bills but we get hesitant when it’s time to give to the Lord.  When we give unto God in whom we trust, He will also  honor our sacrifice rhythm blessings and give us wisdom to build our house.

D.E. Day2

Below is another summary of what was received by this member of PWEM:

Don’t wait for the preacher to ask you to do it, just do it if it’s on your heart to do it. Proverbs 24:3-5, this passage means that someone can build a house but it can not be established. Or that they can build it and let it be established but it can not be filled. These 3 keys are what we need in our life: Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding. What is an altar? It is a connection between the human and divinity. It is a place where the human comes to have their Divine Encounter. Psalm 50:5; this passage states that a sacrifice attract spirits and it attracts God, and it also provokes them to act quickly. In life there are two kinds of people you will meet: 1.Helpers – no matter if they know you or not they will help you. 2. Advertisers – these people will advertise for you and will either ruin or build up your credit. Your sacrifice can raise the dead back to life, only of you understand the ways of God. Your life may fall on stone but if you acquire wisdom it will fall on a precious pillow. An altar of sacrifice will create a shelter for you in times where there is no hope or no way out. This happens because once you create an altar of sacrifice, you have created a connection and protection with God. Your altar of sacrifice will not only protect you but it protect and help your generations also. Every seed has it’s own instruction and so does your bills and dollar bills have it’s own instruction. We have to give our tithe and offering, but yet you need to pay your bill first. The money bill says in God we trust but yet we say in our bills/jobs/overtime we trust. It’s not what you acquire but what you give that makes you prosper.

Since a message can touch individuals in different ways, below is a summary by Bro. Chisom MBA (Head of Engineering Department)

Summary:

  • Wisdom to build our house (financial, marital)
  • The Altar is a meeting place between divinity and human kind
  • The bible says that no matter what comes on the alter, no matter what it is, it becomes sanctified.
  • Psalm 50:5
  • When you enter into a covenant with God you must have a sacrifice (enter a covenant with God through sacrifice)
  • Sacrifices attract spirits and attracts God
  • Sacrifices that attracts spirits provoke them to act quickly and swiftly; they provoke God to act swiftly
  • If you understand your sacrifice, it can raise the dead: Jesus could have raised many dead but He only raised Lazarus because of Mary’s sacrifice
  • Jacob offered his olive oil and said it shall be called a house of God.
  • God will hear you because of your sacrifice
  • Jacob’s life and the lives of his children were saved because of his sacrifice
  • Ex: Our bills say “In God we trust” yet we wonder where our money to pay our bills come from. Our wallets are telling us what to do. We declare a different language than the bills we have (i.e. We say in Job we trust)
  • Prosperity is not what you acquire but what you give
  • You must have a mission for your sacrifice and know what you want it to do
